Alexander R. DeSevo, Esq.
Alexander R. DeSevo is a third-generation trial attorney. Both his grandfather and father were New Jersey trial lawyers. Alexander became a Trial Lawyer in 1994, when he became an Assistant Prosecutor in Hudson County, Jersey City. Following his assignment with the Prosecutor’s Office, Alexander began to work for the insurance industry, representing defendants in Slip and Fall accidents, Auto Accidents, and Workers’ Compensation claims. It was during this time that Alexander learned how insurance companies think, work, and act.
In 2001, sixteen (16) years ago, Alexander became a Plaintiff's Personal Injury Lawyer, representing victims of accidents. Using his trial skills from the Prosecutor's office and his knowledge from the insurance industry, Alexander began to fight for the right of injured accident victims and injured workers. Alexander has settled and tried cases throughout New Jersey from Bergen County to Gloucester County with a concentration in Middlesex, Monmouth and Ocean Counties. Alexander understands how insurance companies make it difficult to obtain medical treatment and collect benefits. He understands that the best way to obtain a settlement is to pursue a strong litigation position and prepare a claim for Trial. He has learned that the insurance companies will only settle if you are ready for Trial. If the claim cannot be settled, Mr. DeSevo is always ready to select a jury and litigate the injury claim.
Today, Mr. DeSevo is the Director of Litigation at the Falcon Law Firm. Last year, Mr. DeSevo had the 18th largest verdict in the State of New Jersey. The insurance company did not appeal the 1.4-million-dollar verdict. Mr. DeSevo in his role as the Director of Litigation, has zealously represented his clients, in obtaining over a million dollars in compensation for his clients.
Mr. DeSevo grew up in Middletown, New Jersey and graduated from Christian Brothers Academy. He attended George Washington University and graduated from Pace Law School where he was selected Editor in Chief at the Pace Law Review and he is an author of Rubanick v. Witco Chemical Corporation and Landrigan v. Celolex Corporation "The Admissibility of Expert Testimony in Toxic Tort Litigation".
Mr. DeSevo is a father of two, Alex and Sarah, and is continuing his family tradition working as a New Jersey trial attorney.
